The sculpture has a head!

.... A bit fail in terms of proportions, but hey, let's say its a 'stylistic choice'. Artistic freedom and all that.





I really need to work on sculpting faces. It's terribly difficult, but if I keep at it, I should be able to actually make my sculptures of women look like bloody women!

Get all the pages up to a certain level...

... Then spread the entire chapter out in front of you and see which pages need more work to balance it out.

So!

Here's page 8 and 17. I will leave them be until I've got the rest of the chapter up to scratch, then come back to them.

Ignore the occasional horrid cropping and the brown borders. It's gumstrip. :P

I love sculpting!

Yesterday morning was sort of ruined by lady-pains, so I had to stay at home, but decided not to waste more of the day and continued on my sculpture.

Going to be a full figure character from Butterflies and Moths. The head has been sculpted, but needs a bit more work. I think it may be a bit too big for the body as well, so not attaching it at the moment. :P

I must say I am very happy with the hand holding the fag.

Oh dear! Just noticed the picture I took of this one was flipped. I'm actually left handed. Fail!

Most things are sort of taped down at the moment.

Stayed at Uni until around 1am yesterday and this morning I'm rewriting bits of my dissertation. I can hand it in as it is, but I'll try to get a higher mark. Too bad I can't remember how to use InDesign now :D

Faint background sketch of page 18. Currently being painted at Uni. Will also have the Ow Ow Migraine Angelica cut out and attached to it. We'll see how it goes :P

My updates will have to happen quite late at night or the morning after due to Uni internet not allowing FTP access. Poop.

Been a slow day today, but I decided to scan the paintings I've been working on. Most of them probably look exactly the same as when I last scanned them. Erk.









Guess I mainly updated the blog because I felt a bit guilty not painting more today.
