May: Month of Madness! Part 1.

As the title suggests, this month has been complete madness. I'm so sorry I haven't been able to update my blog. I've actually yet to have a day off. Hopefully I'll get one in June. Gah.

Anyway! It's time to start explaining what's been going on! So let's kick off with:

'Tomorrow's World Today!'

The first live event by the Clockwork Watch team, hosted in a London tunnel in the first weekend of May.

Wow, I mean, wow. You've probably heard about the comic The Arrival that I've been illustrating for the 3 year transmedia experience called 'Clockwork Watch'. Now, I had been way too busy trying to get the comic done to even glance at the other things that were happening in the background. Having never been involved in Transmedia before, I didn't really know what to expect, so it was only when I came to London to be part of the launch event that things finally clicked with me.



The event was hosted in a Steampunk themed tunnel not far away from the London Dungeons. It had a themed pub with live music, a dark and atmospheric cocktail bar, a tea museum, artwork, a speakers corner, a steampunk market, and a stage where clockwork demonstrations were held and later on Professor Elemental did a gig...!

Needless to say, my mind was blown. Just seeing the hundreds of people joining in (the vast majority of them in creative steampunk gear) was amazing..!

And not only that, but a character from the actual comic was walking around, played by an actress in full costume! I designed her looks and she came to life! Eeeeek!

After Professor Elemental's gig, we had a chat with him, he got himself a copy of The Arrival and I got myself a photo of him and me :D Even though he was like 'Oh no, I don't have my hat on, I'm not complete!'

The cover for The Arrival, a Steampunk story set in Victorian inspired London. This is the first book of three, which shows early Steampunk. How it all began...
It follows the Ranbir family, and especially little Janav. :D

Clockwork Watch: The Arrival teasers!
