And Bayou Arcana is DONE!

Woop woop!
I've just finished my work on Corey's 'Irons in the Fire' story for the anthology Bayou Arcana!

Here's a sneaky peek:

Bayou Arcana deadline week!

As mentioned before, I've got two major deadlines for comic projects this month, Bayou Arcana being one of them. Here are some scans of pages. None of them are completely done, but some are more finished than others. ... If that makes sense. Err. Anyway, ART ATTACK:

Bayou Arcana gets some coverage!

Wow! I'm back from the Christmas break in Wales and immediately find out that the anthology I'm illustrating a short story for has been getting some attention!

I speak of course of Bayou Arcana!

Here's the article about it in the Guardian: Click Me!

One of my pages in progress was actually featured in the paper copy of the newspaper:

(Check out the top right of the article) Here's the full size version of that page:

Aaaand this morning I saw that MTV Geek did a piece on it as well: Click Me!

If you're curious as to what this is all about, have a peek at my progress posts on this blog: Bayou Arcana artwork

Bayou Arcana: Page 6 first scan.

Here's the first scan to show the progress of my painting.

Bayou Arcana: Page 7 linework.

This is gonna be a tricky page since I can't use inks, and the last panel needs to have an effect I haven't done in paint before, so I have no idea if I'm gonna be able to pull it off. But here's hopin'!

Bayou Arcana: Page 6 linework.

Oh yes, I'm back to doing the pages for the short story 'Irons in the Fire' (written by Corey Brotherson), for the anthology Bayou Arcana.

Here's the linework for page 6:

Bayou Arcana: Page 3, first safety scan.

Painting is unedited and not yet cropped.

(I've digitally added a white frame in the middle panel, so that's why it's not visible in the video-painting. ... Because I forgot to prep it before starting the painting in the first place :P FAIL)

Bayou Arcana: Video progress, more edited test!

This was wayyyy more work than I bargained for. I did not expect all the converting and importing and transferring and progress-barring and editing... But here's my progress on the painting so far:

It's around 12 minutes long! Gaaah! (and it's not done yet...)

If you're wondering why the clips sometimes go more yellow, it's because I'm painting during the evening/night-time and I haven't got a proper daylight bulb yet, so my regular lamp gives off a yellow light. :( Le suck!

Very first video progress! Unedited test!

Wooo! After recommendation from my friend, I decided to buy a tripod and have a go at video painting progress, rather than photos.
This is just a tester video which is way too long (I haven't edited anything out) and shows little progress. It was just made for me to become familiar with iMovie and general video-editing.

I hope the final one won't be longer than 5 minutes and show the entire painting from start to finish with a scan at the end.
