Still really needing to work on contrast, and also experimenting with adding tactile objects to the page. That ribbon is supposed to be completely straight. Got a bit wobbly in the scanner. Oops. :D

Colouring an entire page of narrative is really really hard, as I've probably said before here. :P

Fun, but almost always leads to a cock-up.

Had tutorial today. Will change the way the short story is structured, but otherwise the story itself and the artwork is fine. It's just a question of reshuffling a few things to add more tension.

Possible Short Story.

Lynn, main character of Nebo.
Story will be four pages (two spreads, basically) and depict the process of her waking up.

She's got some issues.

First rough here. My penciling is veeery dirty and rough in general, so hopefully you should be able to tell whats going on :P

Desperate to sketch.

I had to take a break from the pop up making/painting yesterday and just mindlessly sketch something completely different.

So I did my characters for my story, but in a Neverwinter Nights setting!

Going down to Uni to scan the big pop up pieces today and then finally start assembling the first three spreads. I won't be able to finish the entire book for the Macmillan competition, but hopefully I should have a dummy done.

We'll see. Right now I'm tired of it which isn't a great thing.

Simplicity. Woot.

Hopefully you shall see where this is going soon.

I am attempting to do a narrative without any real fixed panels (hence the post below where I've painted myself going mental).



Making stuff pretty is all well and good, but making it readable is really flippin' hard.
