Assessment and dissertation is a bad combo.

It's been a bit slow here. We're having our work assessed today, so we werent allowed into the studio. Me and some mates decided to go to the aquarium to sketch instead. :) Here are the doodles.

Painting took way too long today..



Acrylic on a small sculpture with clumsy brushes = Urrrgh!
Painted a bit for a laugh, but if I ever want to paint sculptures seriously I'm gonna have to fine proper paint and proper small brushes.











And a quick painting on the side while working on the bigger pages in the evening.

Also managed to burn the tops of her hair, but that doesn't matter as it's gonna be painted anyway.

A weekend of sculpting!

Here's the pretty much final version of Angelica as a sculpture. Not painted obviously. I have learned lots from doing this and will definitely pay more attention to the face next time.

Because the face is quite rubbish.



And here's the beginning of a smaller and simpler sculpture of my fantasy character Lishne. Making this to learn cloth folds and painting. Will use her as an experiment.

Break sketching is nice.
