Create a short story about something very simple. Something that happened to you personally.
I met a homeless person. I wasn't really used to them. You get used to them after you've lived here for 3 years though, but it was so awkward to begin with. Still is in some ways. :/
Well, ladies and gents. I'm moving house. So on Saturday I am officially cut off from the internet! No idea when we would get it up again in our new house, but hopefully very swiftly.
This was my doodle to express my angst. :P Been doing a lot of online gaming and feel gutted that I won't be able to touch it for a while!
*tries to slap drawing frenzy away* Watched Hellboy yesterday. Rubbish movie, but one of the baddies was just to die for. Had to draw a bit of uniform goodness. Just to get it out of my brain...
Had tutorial today. Will change the way the short story is structured, but otherwise the story itself and the artwork is fine. It's just a question of reshuffling a few things to add more tension.
Here's a pretty picture of Chris. (I am so sorry Chris)
And here's the first page for Nebo. Sort of. Not sure if I posted this version before? Ah well.
I am back from Bristol SmallPress Expo. What an eventful day it was. Left me dizzy! So what do I do to relax my brain?
DOODLE.
Also planning to finish up the rough comic pages I've got, then start thinking about cute little furry chihuahuas again (Nebo). Need to get back to my poor tortured main character Lynn. God I love torturing my creations. Am I morbid?
Very rough still. A short narrative from roleplaying online. One of the things I am going to show Paul Gravett today (in 4 hours! GAH). Will be interesting to see what he thinks, but at the same time I wish I could've finished them all to a standard I'm pleased with.
Having second meeting with Paul Gravett tomorrow afternoon. I've been so busy with Macmillan that I haven't really been able to properly focus on my normal narrative style...
So I have a day to come up with something.
I will most likely end up showing him work in progress stuff and see what happens. A shame really. Not everyday you get to chat to someone like him. :(
Woop woop. Rough sketch of a tavern.
Something to be painted to add atmosphere perhaps?
I tried to get this painted in time, but it was just impossible. I will try to finish it someday, but just REALLY need a break from it. (it is A3 in size)
I think I've found something new I really love though. Can't ever remember doing a crowd scene before. Not like that. :) Different groups: Arelith fantasy people. Capoeira. Business people. Grannies. Cafe workers.
